Allied Health Work Shift:
Variable (United States of America) Responsibilities: Perform all procedures within the Ultrasound Section of the Radiology Department. Operate all equipment in this section competently. Assess patients, review orders/chart, confirm reasons for exams, and document pertinent patient symptoms and history. Prepare patients for procedures, answer questions, and communicate effectively with supervising radiologists. Record exam times accurately in the Radiology Information System (RIS). Ensure a safe environment following infection control guidelines and patient safety protocols. Monitor exam timeliness and quality of care, perform QA of exams, and participate in clinical education and performance improvement projects. Education and Formal Training:
Graduate of an AMA-approved Sonography program. ARRT (Sonography) or ARDMS Registered Diagnostic Medical Sonographer (RDMS) preferred. New graduates may apply if registered or registry-eligible within 12 months of hire. Maintain current AHA CPR certification. Experience:
At least 1 year of experience required. Licenses and Certifications:
