The Telemetry Registered Nurse is responsible for comprehensive patient care in a telemetry unit, focusing on continuous cardiac monitoring, assessment, and collaboration with interdisciplinary teams to ensure high‑quality, patient‑centered care. This role demands critical thinking, excellent communication, and a commitment to patient safety and professional ethics. Required Qualifications

One year of recent experience as a Telemetry RN Current valid RN license compliant with state regulations Current BLS Certification (AHA/ARC) Current ACLS Certification Preferred Qualifications

Progressive Care Certified Nurse (PCCN) Certification NIHSS Certification Other relevant certifications and licenses as required for the position Responsibilities

Monitor and interpret cardiac rhythms, vital signs, and telemetry data to detect abnormalities and respond appropriately Administer prescribed medications and treatments in accordance with approved nursing techniques, focusing on cardiac care Prepare equipment and assist physicians during cardiac‐related procedures and examinations Maintain awareness of patient comfort and safety needs Observe patients, record significant conditions and reactions, and notify supervisors or physicians of patient cardiac status and responses to interventions Respond to life‑saving situations based on nursing standards, policies, procedures, and protocols specific to cardiac emergencies Document nursing history and physical assessment for assigned telemetry patients Initiate patient education plans focusing on cardiac health, risk factors, and lifestyle modifications Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure comprehensive care for telemetry patients Maintain confidentiality of patients and the client Perform other duties as assigned within the scope of practice Adhere to hospital safety protocols, infection control guidelines, and regulatory standards Required Skills

Critical thinking, service excellence, and good interpersonal communication skills Proficiency in reading, writing, and speaking in English Ability to read and comprehend written instructions and follow verbal instructions Computer skills (PC proficiency) Physical abilities to remain stationary, move equipment 50–100lbs, push, pull, and bend Interpersonal skills to work effectively with a variety of personnel Technical/motor skills for fine manipulation and use of department equipment Capacity to work under pressure, maintain concentration on detail, and cope with frequent public contact Visual acuity and effective communication Benefits
