Overview
The Cardiovascular Specialist will provide excellent and efficient patient care throughout the cardiac catheterization procedures by performing in various roles to include, but not limited to, physiologic monitoring, circulating, scrubbing, and those duties specific to licensure, certification, and/or registration. You will work alongside a care team, including cardiovascular surgeons and interventional cardiologists. Responsibilities
Emergency Preparedness:
Ensure emergency equipment and supplies are always ready; Recognize and respond to potential emergency situations as needed. Ensure Safe & Therapeutic Environment:
Promote safety practices & standards, maintain knowledge of equipment operation, adhere to equipment safety guidelines & report any malfunctions. Record Keeping:
Complete & maintain accurate departmental records and logs in a timely manner by entering patient data and charges into electronic system, and safeguard patient privacy & confidentiality. Communication:
Maintain professional relationship with patients, families, and colleagues through effective communication and responsiveness; sensitively address conflicts & concerns as needed. On-Call:
Provides coverage for 24-hour emergency call for Cardiac Cath Lab. Rotating on call responsibilities with other staff members. Responding in a timely fashion (within 25 minutes) to emergency calls. Facilitating activities between departments to ensure prompt patient care. Patient Care:
Monitor & evaluate patient stability during procedures, administer medications & treatments under supervision, and assist with advanced procedures. Education & Consultation:
Offer mentorship and support to co-workers & trainees, participate in Continuing Education & in-service opportunities, and perform / maintains assigned point-of-care testing and annual competencies. Age-Specific Care:
Provide age-appropriate care considering physical, mental, and developmental factors; Regularly update knowledge on age-specific guidelines. Position Details

Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing with current license as a Registered Nurse in NC or Completion of an Allied Health Technology Program (Radiologic Technology, Respiratory Therapy, etc.) with registry or license as it pertains to field of expertise or Completion of Cardiovascular Interventional Program Skills & Qualifications
Two years of experience within registry/license scope preferred CPR certification upon hire Proficient in procedure room roles (Circulator, Recorder, Scrubbing) Professional communication skills with diverse age groups Analytical skills for scheduling, equipment, and instruction comprehension Our Commitment to You
