NeighborHealth , formerly East Boston Neighborhood Health Center, is one of the largest community health centers in the country, serving the greater Boston area with a focus on health and community well-being. This role combines backup medical assistance and administrative support, with opportunities to lead support staff and coordinate projects within our Recovery Services programs in the South End and East Boston. You will work directly with individuals on their journey to recovery from substance use, promoting a compassionate, harm reduction approach. Responsibilities:
Provide compassionate medical assistance and administrative support, balancing direct patient care with project coordination. Ensure smooth daily operations across Recovery Services sites, including scheduling and prep. Offer backup MA coverage and oversee MA staff at both clinics. Assist with patient care activities such as medication management, scheduling, and coordination with pharmacies and insurance. Support program activities, including meetings, trainings, and grant reporting. Maintain records, manage supplies, and ensure policy compliance. Participate in quality improvement and training opportunities, including harm reduction education. Qualifications:
High School Diploma or G.E.D., and graduation from a Certified Medical Assistant Program. BCLS certification (per department policy). Two years of experience as a Medical Assistant. Bilingual skills preferred. Skills:
Demonstrated leadership abilities alongside medical assisting skills. Additional Information:
This full-time position requires some travel between our South End and East Boston locations. Benefits:
