Job Summary and Qualifications We are seeking a Florida-licensed CT Technologist on a PRN/per diem/as-needed basis. As our CT Technologist, you will be competent in brain, total spine, facial, sinus, orbits, thorax, abdomen, pelvis, upper/lower extremities, sella, and biopsies. We prioritize patient care activities and are looking for a compassionate team member.
Responsibilities
Select proper technical factors for study, performing/completing diagnostic CT examinations accurately in a caring, compassionate and respectful manner
Operate CT scanner, pressure injector, resuscitation equipment, laser filmer, and teleradiology system
Assist in administration of contrast media and related procedures
Prepare, transfer and position patients, maintain modesty, and safely use auxiliary equipment
Document clinical information prior to exam, obtain informed consent, and complete required MEDITECH fields accurately and on time
Obtain high-quality CT images and ensure optimal images are sent for interpretation
Stay proficient with software protocols and keep current with field changes through in-service study or courses
Maintain proactive communication with patients and care team including radiologist
Check equipment operation, maintain cleanliness, prevent cross-contamination, and stock supplies
Accept on-call and call-back responsibilities as needed
Qualifications
High School Diploma or equivalency + technical education (Associate Degree, Radiologic Technology)
ARRT (CT) certification
Clear/active Florida Department of Health licensure (CRT)
Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
Ability to perform work requiring frequent standing, bending, reaching, squatting, kneeling, moving, and/or lifting of patients/equipment up to 100 lbs.
Minimum of 2-4 years current/recent experience, preferably in an acute-care hospital setting
