Internal BSMH associates are not eligible for sign-on bonuses. Job Summary The CT Technologist provides direct patient care by applying diagnostic imaging skills utilizing CT scanning equipment. They assist in diagnosing and treating patients by producing diagnostic CT scans. Essential Functions Confirm that all pertinent patient and procedural data are correct. Perform computed tomography procedures. Properly position and immobilize patients on CT scanning cradles. Make radiation exposures by energizing the scanner. Perform intravenous injections and administer oral, rectal, and IV radiographic contrast agents specific to procedures. Assist radiologists with biopsies and drainage procedures. Maintain working knowledge of all CT IT systems, including Radiant and PACS. Participate in on-call rotations and timeout procedures as required. Education Associate's degree from an ARRT-accredited institute (preferred) Licensure/Certification BLS Basic Life Support – American Heart Association (required; preferred upon hire, must obtain prior to direct patient care) Registration with ARRT (required) Advanced modality registration in CT, ARRT (preferred or must obtain within 2 years) State Licensure (preferred unless required by the state) Experience At least 1 year of experience as a CT or Rad Tech (preferred) Experience with EPIC EHR (preferred) Experience with PACS (preferred) We offer many rewards for your hard work, including comprehensive medical, dental, and vision plans, prescription coverage, flexible spending accounts, life insurance with AD&D, retirement contributions, paid time off, educational assistance, and more.
