We are seeking a friendly and compassionate Travel Nurse Practitioner with experience in Neurology to join our team. As a Travel Neurology Nurse Practitioner/Physician Assistant, you will provide comprehensive care to patients with neurological disorders, including epilepsy, multiple sclerosis, Parkinson’s disease, and other neurological conditions. This is an opportunity to make a difference in the lives of patients while working with a dedicated team of healthcare professionals. Responsibilities
Develop and implement individualized treatment plans for patients, including medication management and non-pharmacologic interventions Conduct regular follow-up visits to monitor patient progress, adjust treatment plans as necessary, and provide education and support Collaborate with physicians and other healthcare professionals to coordinate care and ensure a multidisciplinary approach Provide patient and family education on disease management, medications, and lifestyle modifications Maintain accurate and timely documentation of patient encounters and treatment plans Participate in quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient outcomes and optimize patient care delivery Perform comprehensive assessments to diagnose and treat patients with neurological conditions Travel regularly to multiple nursing homes within the designated region to deliver on-site care Maintain a flexible schedule to accommodate facility visits and optimize patient coverage Requirements
Minimum 6 months of experience in long-term care or a skilled nursing facility Active and unrestricted Nurse Practitioner, Physician Assistant, or Physician license DEA License CPR BCLS/BLS certified Master’s Degree in Nursing Completion of an accredited Nurse Practitioner program One year of experience in Neurology Preferred experience with EMR documentation (training provided) Strong organizational and time management skills Reliable transportation Willingness to travel to different nursing homes within New York State (100% travel) Ability to lift a minimum of 20 pounds and stand/walk/work up to 6–8 hours per day Why Work With Us?
