Behavioral Health Clinician - Child and Family Behavioral Health Clinician - Child and Family at SouthEast Alaska Regional Health Consortium (SEARHC).

This position provides evidence-based, culturally relevant outpatient treatment for children and families experiencing behavioral, emotional, and/or mental disorders. Services include individual, group, and family therapy, assessment and diagnostic evaluation, case consultation, and crisis intervention. The clinician participates as an active member of multidisciplinary teams and coordinates with outside service providers as indicated. Documentation in the patient electronic health record is maintained in accordance with SEARHC policies and regulatory bodies. The clinician adheres to established clinical productivity standards and, for those not yet licensed, receives clinical supervision meeting licensure requirements.

Pay Range:

$38.93 - $54.76

Mon through Fri 8-5, Tue through Sat 8-5

Mon through Fri 9-6, Tue through Sat 9-6

Responsibilities

Implement culturally relevant child and family focused screening, assessment, diagnosing, treatment planning, and evidence-based individual, group, and family therapy to meet the needs of the clients served.

Utilize Trauma-Informed Care in all interactions with patients, families, staff, and the community.

Develop individualized treatment plans and treatment reviews based on child/family needs.

Implement therapeutic interventions such as CBT, DBT, IFS, play therapy, group, and family therapy to support positive behavioral change, emotional development, improved family and social relationships, and healthy habits.

Provide care coordination, advocacy, motivational interviewing, education, and skill development.

Maximize access to care by improving coping strategies, self-care, self-understanding, and symptom management.

Integrate mental health/substance use disorder interventions as indicated by assessment and treatment planning results.

Communicate and collaborate with clinical and paraprofessional team members across the health system to achieve the best outcomes for children and families.

Provide crisis intervention services within normal clinic hours when indicated.

Maintain complete, timely, and accurate documentation of services in the electronic health record, including assessments, progress notes, treatment plans, screening tools, and discharge plans, per SEARHC policies.

Self-monitor and fulfill licensure requirements as required by the clinician’s licensing board.

Adhere to patient confidentiality, sharing, and release of information per HIPAA and SEARHC policy.

Coordinate care within the SEARHC health system and local community social agencies to ensure appropriate referrals and optimal individualized care.

Attend and participate in staff meetings, training, and multidisciplinary team meetings.

Meet productivity expectations to support ongoing patient access to timely care.

Respond to coding and audit requests and corrections in a respectful, professional, and timely fashion.

Complete all required provider enrollment and documentation.

Other duties as assigned.

Education, Certifications, and Licenses

Master’s Degree in Social Work, Psychology, Counseling, or related discipline from an accredited institution.

Licensed as Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), Professional Counselor (LPC) or Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT).

If licensure is not yet obtained, maintain current licensure for the duration of employment.

Clinicians not yet licensed will receive clinical supervision focusing on core functions: Screening, intake, orientation, assessment, treatment planning, therapy, case management, crisis intervention, patient education, referrals, records keeping, and consultation.

Valid State of Alaska Driver’s License or ability to obtain within 6 months of hire.

Alaska State Chemical Dependency Counselor I or MAC certificate or equivalent preferred.

Experience

Experience with behavioral health assessment and diagnoses.

Ability to provide assessment, treatment planning, and referral for patients of all ages.

Required Certifications

Clinical Competency Assessment - SEARHC

Driver License - State of Alaska
