The Department of Chemistry & Biochemistry at Metropolitan State University of Denver (MSU Denver) invites applications for part-time affiliate faculty teaching positions. The primary responsibility is to teach biochemistry and introductory organic & biological science courses (lecture and laboratory) at undergraduate levels. Teach biochemistry and introductory organic & biological science courses at undergraduate levels (lecture and lab).
Work with and be sensitive to the educational needs of a diverse urban student population.
Additional duties include teaching assigned classes in person or online, preparing course materials, grading, providing timely feedback, addressing student questions, maintaining office hours, and complying with university policies on evaluation and peer observation.
Required Qualifications
Master's degree in Biochemistry, Molecular Biology, or a closely related field.
Preferred Qualifications
Doctorate degree.
Previous teaching experience.
Terms of Employment
Part-time, at-will, teaching on a per-credit-hour basis each semester. Not eligible for university benefits. Teaching assignments depend on budget and enrollment. Candidates must be able to teach in person/on campus upon hire. Salary
Based on credit hours assigned, according to university policy. More info:
