Responsibilities
As an Inpatient Behavioral Health Social Worker, you’ll be at the heart of patient care—conducting assessments, developing personalized treatment plans, and providing therapeutic support to individuals navigating emotional and social challenges. You’ll play a vital role in crisis intervention, discharge planning, and care coordination, ensuring patients leave with the tools and support they need to thrive. You will provide emotional support and counseling, perform psychosocial assessments, contribute to treatment planning and re-evaluation as part of an interdisciplinary team, and coordinate discharge planning. Complete necessary documentation and maintain clinical records for each client during their length of stay.

Qualifications
Master’s degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor, or related field. In states requiring licensure, license required upon hire and must be maintained in accordance with state regulations. In states without licensure requirements, current registration with the appropriate state board or eligibility under clinical supervision to meet clinical hours for licensure. Current BLS certificate upon hire and maintain current. Minimum one (1) year Inpatient or Outpatient Behavioral Health experience. Experience working with a diverse population with a wide range of problems (death and dying, maternal and childcare, substance abuse, disability, chronic illness, etc.).
