in the role of Physical Therapist – Inpatient. In this interdisciplinary team, you will conduct physical therapy activities to help patients suffering from injury or disease to restore function, improve mobility, relieve pain, and prevent or limit permanent physical disabilities.
Job Summary Provides and coordinates comprehensive physical therapy care to patients by utilizing evaluation, planning, education, and implementation of a treatment plan in accordance with Physical Therapy Standards of Practice. Work includes direct and indirect patient care activities such as documentation, scheduling, family training, attendance at rounds, interaction with the Interdisciplinary Team, participation in staff meetings, ordering supplies, and contributing to continuous quality control and performance improvement.
Responsibilities
Performs patient assessment/data collection, interprets findings, and formulates treatment plans.
Implements and updates therapeutic plans of care based on patient needs throughout the patient’s course of care.
Completes all required documentation in an accurate and thorough manner, in accordance with facility documentation standards.
Responds effectively to legal, patient rights, safety, maintenance, and emergency situations.
Participates in continuing education, staff development, self‑directed learning, and provides performance feedback to staff, aides, students, and volunteers as requested.
Qualifications
Graduation from an accredited Physical Therapy Program and completion of Clinical Fieldwork.
Knowledge and experience in rehabilitation, orthopedic, medical/surgical settings with demonstrated job knowledge, skills, and abilities.
Current Washington State license for Physical Therapy or a Washington State Interim Permit (valid for a maximum 6 months unless an extension is approved by the Department Director).
Current American Heart Association Healthcare Provider BLS certification.
Pay Range $45.26 - $67.32 /hour
