About the opportunity: Staff Electrical & Instrumentation Engineer We are currently seeking a full-time Staff Electrical & Instrumentation Engineer in our office to help us achieve our company mission. C&I is a full-service engineering design firm providing engineering/design/project management, and procurement services to various clients in oil & gas, food & beverage, and distilled spirits. Responsibilities

Prepares complete design packages, including construction scope of work, for complex industrial projects that meet design intents and customer expectations. Designs are well coordinated with other departments. Creates lists of engineering deliverables and tasks, and estimates effort hours based on limited scopes of work for complex projects. The Staff Electrical and Instrumentation Engineer mentors junior staff, assists in the training and development of others, and identifies training needs for the department chief. Creates a plan of execution for large and complex projects, anticipating the sequence of tasks, long lead and special items for the engineering procurement cycle, and dependencies of information from others. Works within the project team to integrate the department plan into a multi-discipline project plan of execution. As a Staff Electrical & Instrumentation Engineer, this individual prepares computer analyses and calculations. Uses vendor documents, coordination prints, surveys, and models to check dimensions, determine interface points, determine physical space requirements, and provide information to other departments. Helps develop P&IDs and create typical electrical and instrumentation design documents. Bachelor's degree or higher from an ABET-accredited engineering program with a minimum of 10 years of related work experience, or a bachelor's degree or higher from an ABET-accredited engineering technology program with 12 years of relevant experience. Ability to travel domestically or internationally to offices, vendor shops, and project sites. Travel may be up to 10%. Must comply with drug-free workplace requirements. Must be able to obtain a Transportation Worker Identification Credential (TWIC) and pass any required background checks. Performs work in a safe manner in accordance with C&I and client requirements.
