Our Field Service organization travels to power plants across the U.S. and our employees are responsible for the maintenance and upgrades to some of the largest and most powerful electrical generation machinery in the world including gas turbines, steam turbines and generators. This program is the entry point to our world-class field service organization! How You’ll Make an Impact

Duringyour first 12 months, you will complete classroom and lab training inOrlando and participate in on-the-job training with expert engineers,working at multiple customer sites across the US.

Workdirectly with our leading staff of field service engineers to developskills that include equipment operation, maintenance, job site safety,project management, leadership, and Siemens Energy’s business systems

Onceyou complete training, as a Field Service Engineer, you\'ll be supervisingtechnicians and mechanics working on turbine generator equipment duringpower plant maintenance shutdowns (outages), both planned and unplannedsystem outages which can occur due to equipment performance issues.

Youwill be responsible for disassembling, inspecting, and reassemblingturbines and generators

Youwill coordinate the upgrading of mechanical and electrical systems onturbine generators to increase power output and efficiency

Collaboratingwith our worldwide engineering staff to perform niche mechanical andelectrical testing

Youwill serve as the primary customer contact during outages and ensure thatrepairs are made in a timely and accurate manner

What You Bring

Bachelor\'sdegree in mechanical engineering, engineering technology, or relatedfield.

Youenjoy using both your mind and your hands to seek sophisticated mechanicalproblems while working closely on a team and with our customers to provideoutstanding service

Youare a self-starting leader, who enjoys using all available resources andleading others to build innovative solutions to challenging mechanicalissues

Youenjoy travel – so much that you are okay with traveling for extendedperiods of time. Typically, Our Field Service Engineers will travel200-250 days per year for anywhere from 2-15 weeks at a time.

Whiledeployed, you will work extended working hours of up to 12-14 hours perday including weekends/holidays, 6 – 7 days per week. A typical work weekcan be 60-84 hours.

Youcan: ascend/descend ladders to examine equipment, position yourself toexamine equipment including in confined spaces, move boxes weighing up to40 pounds, work in outdoor weather conditions, walk long distances andshare cramped office trailer with other employees.

We arecurrently recruiting for our next class, which will commence in January2026. Our Fall 2025 recruitment timeline includes an in personinterviewing event in Orlando the week of November 3rd to 6th 2025.

.The base salary range for this position $72k-79k. Specific offers aredetermined by various factors, such as experience, skills, certifications,and other business needs. Employees typically do not start at the top ofthe range, though compensation depends on each individual’squalifications.
