Entry-level Wells Engineers (Horizons Program)
located in: Bakersfield, California Covington, Louisiana Houston, Texas Midland, Texas Greeley, Colorado Position Overview:
Wells engineers will have both office and field assignments as part of their early career development. Field assignments include: Drill Site Representatives for on-site drilling operations, Well Site Representatives for frac spreads and well intervention operations. Office roles include: drilling engineer, completions engineer, and well intervention engineer. Responsibilities vary by role but include cost estimation, design of drilling and completion operations, and support for well intervention procedures. The program aims to accelerate knowledge, skills, and confidence in new employees, focusing on the first 3-5 years of their careers through on-the-job training and technical learning. Opportunities for international transfer exist after developing core competencies. Mobility is encouraged across domestic and international assignments. Required Qualifications: Final year students or recent graduates with a Bachelors, Masters, or Doctorate in Petroleum, Chemical, or Mechanical Engineering, with less than 2 years of related experience. Strong academic record, communication, leadership, teamwork, and problem-solving skills. Position may require routine driving. Additional Information: Relocation within Chevron parameters may be considered. Candidates should submit their resume and unofficial transcripts for review.
