Position Description TREW is a provider of Automated Equipment, Control Systems, and Warehouse Execution Software. As a Senior Electrical Engineer, you will design and implement electrical control systems for automated material handling equipment. This project-based work includes developing specifications, electrical device layouts, schematics, and panel drawings. Design and testing will occur in the office, with installation and testing at the client’s facility.
Qualifications and Skills
Strong technical background in electrical and controls systems
Ability to adapt to changing situations and work independently
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Experience with AutoCAD and AutoCAD Electrical
Knowledge of industrial control systems, PLC, HMI, and communication networks
Experience in project management, including scheduling, resource, and budget management
Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or related field, with a minimum of 7 years of relevant experience
Responsibilities
Design electrical control systems, including device layouts, schematics, and control panel design
Coordinate with mechanical, controls engineering, and fabrication teams
Perform onsite testing, system commissioning, and customer training
Generate project documentation and ensure compliance with electrical standards
Lead project teams and mentor junior engineers
Manage project schedules, resources, and budgets
Work Environment & Physical Requirements Ability to work in warehouse and construction environments, including climbing ladders and working on platforms. Willingness to travel domestically and abroad (5-15%) and work non-traditional hours as needed.
This role requires adherence to safety protocols and the ability to work in dusty, loud environments.
