Responsibilities
Perform all work in accordance with the highest standards of SKNA-Vitop safety policies; ensure all safety policies and processes are enforced. Responsible for successful implementation of respective department strategy (goals/objectives) set by Plant/General Manager. Supervise projects to attain the results forecast in terms of deadlines and costs and improvements in productivity or quality. Program, control preventive maintenance work, and perform troubleshooting and repair of facilities including auxiliary equipment such as chillers, air compressors, other water filtration equipment and general maintenance of the plant. Maintain and provide preventative maintenance to cooling towers (PID knowledge) and compressors (Delta / Star knowledge for electrical configuration). Minimize downtime and increase machine efficiency by performing troubleshooting of equipment as needed. Work closely with EHS Manager and Maintenance Manager on projects concerning Environmental projects for the plant. Collaborate with Purchasing to stock spare parts for facilities maintenance and manage the spare parts. Ensure that those employed in the Maintenance function have the knowledge and skills, encourage their development and flexibility, co-ordinate their work, and provide guidance and support whenever necessary. Maintain a regular presence in the work area to ensure compliance and discuss safety issues with the team. Use available software systems to analyze and identify issues to drive throughput performance. Work in the areas of injection molding processing, assembly machine processing, labeling technology, auxiliary systems including resin handling/blending, resin drying, dehumidification, vision, mold systems and plastics processing. May interface with vendors and suppliers as necessary to discuss products used in repair work and/or projects that need to be completed. Adhere to lock-out tag-out policy and procedures. Other duties as assigned. Qualifications
5+ years’ experience in maintenance functions for Manufacturing or Process Improvement; preferred 3+ years’ experience managing people/projects. Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience: electrical engineer preferred. Ability to read and interpret schematics: electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic. Skilled in the use of shop equipment such as hydraulic and mechanical presses, bench grinder, drill press, mill and lathe, and assorted power tools. Proficient skills with precision measuring equipment, such as calipers, dial indicators, bore gauges, and depth gauges. Skilled in fabrication capabilities such as cutting and welding (MIG, TIG or stick). Skilled working with electrical systems including 480VAC & 24VDC power. Skilled in the repair of variable frequency drives, servo motors and controllers, communication systems (ASi-Bus, CAN-Bus, PROFIBUS, Ethernet), PLC I/O cards, and safety modules. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills (verbal and written), able to represent the company professionally. Knowledge of safety practices and expectations. Knowledge of quality practices and expectations, and respect for product. Ability to communicate effectively. Extensive knowledge of OSHA requirements and Lockout/Tag out Procedures. Strong knowledge of Safety, 5S, LEAN/TPS (Toyota Production System) a plus. Understands and follows Company’s quality and corporate/environmental policies. Understands and follows procedures and work instructions established by SKNA - Vitop, USA. Ability to plan, schedule, coordinate and problem solve effectively; ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions. Ability to solve practical problems and deal with multiple variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form from Management/Supervision. Seniority level
