AECOM is seeking a motivated
Entry Level Civil Engineer
to join the Building and Places Division in Atlanta, Georgia, with a specialization in fueling system infrastructure. This internship provides an opportunity for students or approaching graduates to gain hands-on experience in the design and delivery of complex fuel system projects, including facilities for receipt, storage, transfer, and distribution of aviation jet fuel, diesel fuel, ethanol, and motor gasoline. This position is expected to begin as soon as possible. Responsibilities
Assist with the design and development of civil engineering components for fueling system infrastructure under the supervision of senior engineers. Support the preparation of site layouts, grading plans, stormwater management, and utility designs related to fuel system projects. Perform engineering calculations and analysis using industry-standard software tools. Create and modify technical drawings, plans, and specifications using AutoCAD and other relevant software. Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure project goals are met efficiently and effectively. Participate in project meetings and contribute ideas for problem-solving and process improvements. Assist in the preparation of reports and other technical documents. Stay updated on industry trends, codes, and regulations relevant to civil engineering projects. Support the development and implementation of quality control measures. Contribute to the continuous improvement of engineering processes and methodologies. Qualifications
Minimum Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or a related field. U.S. Citizenship is required for this role due to the nature of the work. Preferred Qualifications:
Familiarity with AutoCAD and AutoCAD Civil 3D or similar applications. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint). Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal. Ability to work effectively in a collaborative team environment. Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously. Eagerness to learn and adapt to new technologies and methodologies. Basic understanding of civil engineering principles and practices. Ability to travel domestically or internationally. E.I.T. (Engineer-in-Training) certification, achieved through passing the FE exam, strongly preferred. Additional Information
