Role Overview As the Continuous Improvement Engineer, you will promote a culture of continuous improvement across the site, utilizing project achievements, training, Kaizen, data analysis, and leadership skills to deliver tangible results. Projects may include changeover reduction, cycle time improvement, capability studies, throughput optimization, cost reduction, waste reduction, and enhancing line efficiencies. You will be accountable for delivering results that positively impact the bottom line.
Key Responsibilities
Lead and facilitate continuous improvement efforts, working with all levels of staff.
Provide leadership, mentoring, and training on Lean, Six Sigma, and CI methodologies.
Lead management meetings and prioritize opportunities with finance and OpEx teams.
Support site OpEx resources to improve safety, throughput, costs, and waste reduction.
Uphold safety protocols and embody Voyant’s values.
Qualifications
Bachelor's Degree in Engineering (preferred) or required.
4-6 years of experience in CI or OpEx in manufacturing.
Proven experience with Lean Manufacturing and Six Sigma.
Knowledge of FDA, EPA, and cGMP requirements.
Strong project management, communication, and mentoring skills.
Proficiency in MS Office; experience with Minitab and ERP systems is preferred.
Lean Six Sigma Certification (IASSC) is required.
Additional Information This is a full-time, mid-senior level management role in the manufacturing industry, with locations in Indiana and Michigan. Salary ranges from $61,000 to $100,000 depending on location and experience. We value diversity and are an equal opportunity employer.
