$120,000.00/yr - $150,000.00/yr QUALITY MANAGER Overview
The Quality Manager will lead the company’s quality function, ensuring standards are consistently achieved from incoming materials through to final shipment. This individual will oversee quality systems, drive process improvement, and provide strategic leadership to ensure compliance with customer and industry requirements. The role requires both a hands-on approach and the ability to guide teams through audits, corrective actions, and long-term quality initiatives. Based in the Greater Chicago Area, this position offers significant leadership visibility and impact. Opportunity

Partner closely with operations, engineering, and executive leadership to enhance product and process reliability. Exposure to diverse manufacturing processes and customer industries. Greater Chicago Area (Central Suburbs). Responsibilities
Lead and maintain the Quality Management System (QMS) to align with ISO 9001 and AS9100 standards. Provide leadership to cross-functional teams in root cause analysis, problem-solving, and implementation of corrective actions. Oversee internal and external audits; act as primary contact for customer inspections and certifications. Manage PPAP submissions, PSW approvals, and client-facing quality documentation. Direct Material Review Board (MRB) activities and ensure timely disposition of nonconforming material. Drive quality metrics and reporting, providing insight to senior leadership for strategic decisions. Mentor and develop quality engineers and inspectors, building a high-performing quality team. Ensure calibration, inspection, and testing programs are executed to meet customer and industry standards. Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in engineering (mechanical, manufacturing, or related field) or equivalent hands-on expertise. 5+ years of progressive experience in Quality or Production Engineering, with leadership responsibility. Strong background in precision machining or fabrication environments. Proficiency with ISO 9001; AS9100 experience strongly preferred. Experience leading APQP, PPAP, and related quality processes. Demonstrated ability to lead teams, influence stakeholders, and implement sustainable process improvements. Strong troubleshooting, analytical, and problem-solving skills. Knowledge of GD&T and ability to interpret technical drawings. Seniority level
