Quality Control Inspector/Supervisor
is responsible for examining products and materials for defects or deviations from specifications within the Aecon program. This position reports through the quality program. Citizenship:

Perform inspections on pressure boundary and non‑pressure boundary components, assemblies, and structural fabrications in accordance with applicable codes, construction requirements, and customer specifications. This includes, but is not limited to: Dimensional inspections Review of Material Test Reports Receiving inspections Weld visual inspection Liquid penetrant inspection Positive material identification Material thickness verification or “D” meter Pressure test inspection Follow and maintain Inspection and Test Plans or Travelers Perform internal weld monitoring as required Perform Source Inspections, In-Process Inspections, and Final Inspections Complete all associated documentation: quality control reports, sign-offs on drawings, as-built drawings, etc. Calibration of measuring and test equipment Establishes, implements, and maintains the site quality program Coordinate with engineers, suppliers, subcontractors, regulatory representatives, and the field to ensure work is done correctly Ensure on-site work meets applicable codes and specifications Develop and administer site-specific quality programs Supervise quality control activities and personnel; participate in punch list walkdowns and inspections Collate quality control documentation for final handover to the Owner Interface with clients and government officials Develop and implement quality programs to meet project goals and expectations May act as Quality Consultant for internal and external clients May act as a temporary project fill-in for lower-level quality professionals Provide supervision, training, development, and performance management of direct reports Mentor other quality professionals Support safety, quality, ethical standards, and lessons learned; align with performance management programs Support continuous improvement and change management associated with improvements Possible responsibilities for hiring, discipline, and pay administration of subordinates (site QC inspectors and site QC representatives) Participate in cost of quality tracking and tracking of nonconformance reports and corrective/preventive actions Conduct quality assessments on various projects and programs Assist in coordinating punch lists and turnover packages Maintain QA/QC documentation and ensure readiness for project handover What You Bring To The Team
Graduate secondary school education in welding technology, QA/QC, or related discipline, or minimum of 3 years of work experience in a QA/QC role NDE Certification: ASNT-TC-1A Level II in Magnetic Particle Examination and Liquid Penetrant Examination is an asset Level I Visual Weld Inspection or Level II Visual Weld Inspection Good communication and organizational skills Computer literacy in MS Office Experience with B&PV Code ASME Section 1, B31.1, B31.3 & Section VIII Div. 1 is an asset Experience with Nuclear, ASME Code Section III is an asset Ability to pass a physical, lift 50 lbs, climb scaffolds and ladders, enter confined spaces, work at heights, wear full body harness, and wear a respirator and PPE as needed Must be certified as SNT-TC-1A VT Level II, or have the ability to obtain certification as a condition of employment Civil and mechanical experience Must be able to access the Savannah River Site unescorted Ability to work an established schedule, report to work on time, and be flexible to support projects Ability to obtain and maintain nuclear security clearance Aecon fosters diversity, inclusion and belonging within and across our organization.
