Overview
Senior Analyst, EPC Procurement at Clearway Energy Group. The role supports competitive bid processes for Engineering, Procurement, and Construction (EPC) Contracts, develops vendor award recommendations, negotiates contracts, provides market intelligence on geopolitical factors, and administers contracts to support Clearway’s wind development and construction pipeline. The Senior Analyst collaborates with the Project Development and Engineering team to create EPC RFPs, integrates market intelligence and vendor inputs into bid evaluations and contracting, and coordinates across Development, Engineering, Legal, Finance, and Construction to advance vendor selection, bid levelization, contract negotiations, project initiation, and ongoing contract administration. The position reports to the Senior Manager, Procurement and can be hybrid-based in Houston, TX; Scottsdale, AZ; Denver, CO; or San Francisco, CA.
Responsibilities
Support the Senior Manager, Procurement, in achieving the team’s mission and objectives, including development and implementation of a best-in-class sourcing strategy for wind EPCs on new-build and repower projects
Orchestrate competitive RFx bidding and contracting efforts for EPC contracts in coordination with development, engineering, construction, legal, finance, and Operations & Management
Conduct EPC bid reviews and contractor performance assessments to identify risks and opportunities and recommend strategies for contractor selection
Perform bid levelization in Excel to evaluate variances and cost drivers, and track cost movements during negotiations
Support negotiations, mitigate cost and schedule risks, and ensure alignment with Clearway policies
Ensure alignment across major project agreements (TSA, Service Maintenance Agreement, PPA, EPC agreement, Warranty, etc.) to mitigate risk
Review scope of supply and scope of work on contracts to prevent gaps and ensure clear interfaces
Strengthen strategic relationships with key EPC partners, driving progress toward MOUs and project milestones
Interface with EPC Contractors to gather and analyze market intelligence on trends, tariff impacts, and policy changes
Develop bidding strategies and qualify bidders
Engage cross-functional teams regularly on Wind EPC Contracts issues
Facilitate internal resolution of material changes to agreements across commercial and technical issues
Coordinate with Engineering to gather and maintain specifications, scopes of work, and standards for Clearway’s wind projects
Build strong relationships with internal teams and external vendor/contractor partners
Support project financing by coordinating inputs from wind EPC contractors and cross-functional teams to address IE questions
Provide support with the EPC procurement team, with occasional opportunities to engage in solar and BESS EPC contracting
Assist in identifying, developing, and implementing new contract policies and processes, including continuous process improvements
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in economics, finance, procurement and supply chain, engineering, or related field
Minimum of two years’ experience with EPC contracting and negotiations
Project management, contracting, and negotiation experience with large-scale wind development projects
Excellent written and verbal communication skills with a strong understanding of contract language and negotiation
Ability to travel up to 10%
Proficient in Microsoft SharePoint, Microsoft Office Suite (Word, PowerPoint, Excel), OneNote, and document control
Nice to Have
Two or more years of wind contracting experience and understanding of EPC contracting turbine technology
Experience in Solar and/or BESS EPC procurement
Experience in wind repower projects

Salary Range Across all U.S. Locations $82,000—$110,000 USD
