Physical Therapist – Per Diem – Somerville, NJ
Compensation
$66.23 per hour
Job Overview RWJBarnabas Health is looking to add a qualified per diem Physical Therapist in the Outpatient Department in Somerville, NJ. The therapist provides services in accordance with the NJ Practice Act, accreditation standards, state regulatory bodies and the APTA Code of Ethics. This location offers specialized programs for Parkinson’s Disease, Pelvic Floor Dysfunction (male, female, transgender) and Lymphedema management.
Qualifications
Required:
Graduate of an accredited program in Physical Therapy at the Doctorate or Master's level
Licensed in NJ
Preferred:
Active membership in a professional organization
Experience with Post Stroke patients and post Surgical patients
Certifications and Licenses Required
BLS certification through American Heart Association
Pelvic Floor Certification, LSVT Certification and Lymphedema Certified appreciated but not required
Scheduling Requirements
Day Shift
Per Diem Schedule
Essential Functions
Strong teamwork, communication, and documentation skills for intra-disciplinary and interdisciplinary communication
Examines and evaluates patients upon referral from a physician, podiatrist, dentist, or nurse practitioner
Plans and implements specific treatment for patients to reverse impairments, restore function, and facilitate the development of skills essential for adaptive and productive living
Participates in PI and physical therapy clinical education programs
