Nuclear Medicine Technologist
will perform a wide range of diagnostic nuclear medicine procedures in adult and nuclear cardiology settings. This role requires a detail-oriented, dependable professional who can multitask effectively and work as part of a cohesive team. The technologist will ensure accurate imaging, patient safety, and compliance with all radiation safety and infection control standards. Key Responsibilities
Perform diagnostic nuclear medicine procedures, including Gastric Emptying, HIDA Scan, MUGA Scan, 3 Phase Bone Scan, Liver Imaging, and Perfusion Studies. Conduct ventilation/perfusion, pharmacological stress, and whole-body scans. Prepare, store, and dispose of radiopharmaceutical materials safely. Start and maintain peripheral IVs and monitor patients during scans. Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and other medical staff for optimal patient outcomes. Ensure accuracy and completeness in documentation and image quality. Education & Certifications
Education : Graduate of an accredited Nuclear Medicine Technology program (ACEN or CCNE accredited). Certifications : BLS
– Basic Life Support (Required) CNMT
or
NMTCB
Certification (Required) Indiana State License
(Required) Experience
Minimum
2 years of experience
as a Nuclear Medicine Technologist. Experience in
adult imaging
and
nuclear cardiology
required. Ability to work in a
fast-paced hospital environment
