Overview
Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP) – in-person position based in Colorado Springs, CO. Relocation bonus offered.
Family Care Center is a growing behavioral health provider with nearly 30 outpatient clinics across multiple states. Responsibilities
Perform psychiatric diagnostic evaluations to determine diagnoses, treatment strategies, and care coordination needs for clients with mental health, substance use, or other psychiatric/medical needs.
Provide psychiatric and/or medical services within applicable standards, timelines, and licensing requirements.
Apply medical knowledge to diagnosis, prevention, and treatment of illnesses; maintain complete and accurate medical records.
Ensure timely clinical/billing documentation compliant with state and federal regulations and coding standards.
Implement pharmacologic treatment strategies, order medications, monitor and evaluate progress on psychiatric and/or other medications.
Order, obtain and assess laboratory tests and diagnostics; base clinical decisions on interpretation of results.
Work as part of a multidisciplinary team to provide clinical services and coordinate care for mental health patients.
Ensure timely access to care, display scheduling flexibility, and meet productivity standards.
Assume client care responsibilities including psychiatric evaluation, professional diagnoses, and prescribing/administering treatment.
Collaborate with MD/DO for complex cases and escalate when necessary.
Provide medication and health education, informed consent, benefits/risks, and alternative treatments; support health/wellness management and metabolic risk reduction.
Conduct Telemedicine appointments for intake and follow-up as needed.
Coordinate care with clients/families/involved agencies/PCP and other providers to ensure timely and coordinated treatment planning and progress evaluation.
Remain in compliance with state PMHNP laws and supervise hour requirements, CME, and timely assessments with supervising physician.
Other Duties
Attend weekly supervisory meetings with physician or as directed by the supervising physician or Chief Medical Officer.
Assist as required by supervisor with other duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications
Masters or Doctorate in nursing; graduated from an accredited PMHNP program.
At least one year of PMHNP experience preferred.
Current, full, unrestricted licensure as a practitioner in the state of practice; active state DEA license required.
BLS from the American Heart Association required.

Benefits & Compensation
Annual compensation: $115,000–$140,000, depending on experience. Potential rewards through our 5-star program up to $27,100 annually.
