The Boston University School of Public Health (BUSPH) seeks a forward-thinking and data-driven Assistant Dean for Partnerships, Engagement and Advancement (PEA) to support the Dean in expanding partnerships, driving organizational effectiveness, and elevating the School's academic and philanthropic profile. This senior leadership role blends oversight of domestic and global projects, external engagement, advancement, and continuous improvement efforts across academic and administrative domains. The Assistant Dean serves as a trusted partner to the Dean, guiding implementation of school-wide initiatives, strengthening operational alignment, and leading cross-functional projects that enhance the School\'s fundraising capability, visibility, impact, agility, and efficiency. This role requires a combination of philanthropic experience, organizational intelligence, performance management, cross-sector collaboration, operational acumen, and strong relationship-building skills, including at the international level. Responsibilities
Lead partnerships, engagement, and advancement efforts to expand the School\'s fundraising capability and external profile. Guide school-wide initiatives, ensure operational alignment, and manage cross-functional projects across academic and administrative domains. Partner with the Dean to drive organizational effectiveness, improve processes, and elevate visibility and impact at domestic and international levels. Required Skills / Qualifications
Ability to handle confidential matters with discretion and sound judgment. Extensive experience engaging with diverse stakeholders, including international organizations and global partners. Proven track record in philanthropic engagement, donor relations, and advancement strategy. Experience with operational improvement methodologies (e.g., Lean, Six Sigma, design thinking). Demonstrated success managing complex, cross-functional projects in a matrixed academic or mission-driven environment. At least 10 years of progressively responsible experience in management and in an advisory leadership role. Master of Business Administration (or equivalent Master\'s) with a focus in higher education administration, business, organizational management, or a related field. Equal Opportunity
