Overview This 13‑week travel assignment places a qualified Interventional Radiology Technologist in a high‑acuity catheterization lab. The successful candidate will support minimally invasive procedures, manage contrast media, maintain imaging equipment, and ensure patient and staff safety.
Responsibilities
Prepare and position patients for interventional radiology procedures.
Operate fluoroscopic, CT, and ultrasound imaging equipment.
Assist physicians with scrubbing in, instrument passing, and maintaining a sterile field.
Monitor and document patient vital signs and procedural details.
Administer contrast media and monitor for adverse reactions.
Enforce radiation safety measures for patients, staff, and self.
Maintain and troubleshoot imaging equipment to ensure readiness.
Manage procedural supplies, including catheters, guidewires, and contrast agents.
Collaborate with radiologists, nurses, and other team members to provide seamless patient care.
Provide patient education before, during, and after procedures.
Required Qualifications
One year of recent experience as an Interventional Radiology Technologist.
Valid ARRT, RCIS, or RCES certification and compliance with state regulations.
Current BLS certification (AHA/ARC).
Preferred Qualifications
Current ACLS certification (AHA/ARC).
Valid radiologic technologist license in compliance with state regulations.
PALS (AHA/ARC) or ENPC certification.
Additional certifications or licenses may be required for this position.
