Overview
The Mount Sinai Health System is seeking to recruit Intensivists to join the Cardiothoracic ICU team at Mount Sinai South Nassau, Oceanside, NY. The program is collaborative and aims for quality outcomes, teaching and research. Training in a Critical Care fellowship is required; experience as an attending with critically ill cardiac and cardiothoracic patients is an asset. Candidates should be proficient with standard ICU procedures. Responsibilities include managing patients before/after cardiothoracic surgery and after complex cardiac procedures. The intensivist will work with a team of PAs/NPs, residents and fellows, with day, evening and weekend shifts. Cardiothoracic ICU at Mount Sinai South Nassau
10-12 Bed CTICU/CVICU Routine and Complex cardiac surgical cases Academic appointment at Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai Competitive compensation package Collaborative work environment with a large ICU group (15-18 cardiovascular intensivists) Opportunities for academic involvement in research and teaching Ideally located in the Greater New York City area Mount Sinai is ranked #4 in US News and World Report for Cardiology and Heart Surgery Candidates should be Board Eligible or Board Certified in Critical Care Medicine. Physicians who wish to divide efforts between Critical Care and a primary specialty (e.g., Anesthesiology, Surgery, Medicine) are encouraged to apply. The position includes an academic appointment in the candidate's primary specialty as well as a cross appointment in the Institute for Critical Care Medicine at Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai.
