Responsibilities

In keeping with the Dignity Health core values, the Speech Language Pathologist is responsible for providing speech language pathology therapy assessments and treatments to patients in the home setting. Provides training to patients, family members, and caregivers. Participates in orientation of new team members. Interacts with multidisciplinary teams for coordinated patient care. Actively participates in departmental meetings and performance improvement activities as requested. Qualifications

Minimum Requirements: Licensed or eligible for licensure by the State of California Board of Medical Quality Assurance (LIC SPL) Current AHA CPR certification (CT CPRBLS) Must have a current California Driver’s License (DL CA) Clean driving record with proof of liability insurance for automobile Preferred Requirements: Two (2) years of professional experience as a speech therapist Experience working with adult and child language speech disorders and swallowing New graduates considered on an individual basis Special Skills: Effective communication skills, both orally and in writing; good interpersonal skills. Basic knowledge of principles, techniques, and procedures within the scope of practice as a Speech Therapist. Ability to organize and prioritize work efficiently. Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment with other healthcare professionals, patients, and families. Capability to teach speech therapy techniques and procedures to patients and caregivers. Able to work with minimal supervision. Overview
