Utilize standardized assessments and clinical observation to evaluate speech, language, voice, fluency, and swallowing disorders. Design and implement individualized therapy programs based on evaluation findings, patient goals, and evidence-based practices. Continuously assess patient progress, adjust treatment plans as needed, and maintain detailed documentation in the electronic medical record. Educate patients, families, and caregivers on effective communication strategies, home-based exercises, and safe swallowing practices; provide supportive counseling as required. Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams to coordinate comprehensive patient care. Maintain a safe treatment environment by adhering to infection control protocols, safety guidelines, and regulatory standards. Engage in quality assurance initiatives and professional development to stay current with best practices in speech-language pathology. Perform other duties as assigned within the scope of practice. Qualifications
Required Valid Speech Language Pathologist license in accordance with state regulations Current BLS certification (AHA/ARC) Preferred Master’s Degree or higher in Speech Language Pathology Current Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology Experience in Speech-Language Pathology; new grads may apply Other certifications or licenses may be required for the position Summary
