Northern Outpatient Locations: Allen, Plano, Richardson, Grapevine Southern Outpatient Locations Waxahachie, Dallas, Grapevine, Rockwall Eastern Outpatient Locations: Allen, Richardson, Rockwall, Dallas
Shift:
Monday through Friday 7:30 AM to 6:00 PM on a PRN as needed basis

Summary
Children's Health Specialty Centers for outpatient therapy offer a comprehensive range of pediatric therapy services aimed at supporting children's physical, developmental, and emotional needs. Our services include care coordination, developmental screenings, occupational therapy (OT), physical therapy (PT), speech/language therapy, parent education and support, and specialized treatment programs. We provide tailored services such as transitional skills evaluations for children ages 11-17, focusing on developing independence in self-care, work skills, and functional abilities.
In addition, we offer specialized assessments, including augmentative communication evaluations and feeding therapy for children with neurological and behavioral disorders. Our therapy programs also address handwriting disorders, sensory integration, and neuromuscular electrical stimulation, among others. Group classes are available to enhance patients’ abilities in areas like articulation, feeding, motor skills and social needs.
Responsibilities
Provide direct Physical Therapy evaluations and re-evaluations, including assessment of prior and current level of function, setting individualized goals and making discharge recommendations in accordance with standards of practice; provide direct PT treatments according to standards of practice, including patient and family education, progression of treatment plan and implementation of appropriate therapeutic interventions; report on patient progress through appropriate written documentation including evaluation forms, progress notes, education forms; and collaborate with physicians, patients, family and other members of the health care team relative to patient treatment and progress as well as other affiliated agencies with regard to effective discharge planning Coordinate and prioritize own schedule in relation to demands of patient treatment and other departmental responsibilities; supervise rehabilitation aides; mentor and instruct PT interns and other students as indicated Demonstrate proper use and maintenance of department equipment and supplies; attend and participate in departmental meetings, in services, rounds and peer reviews; participate in program development as assigned by Team Leader; and participate in continuing education programs or other opportunities for learning for continued professional competency Ability to meet physical and non-physical demands as outlined in the job description Assume other duties and responsibilities that are appropriate to the position and area
How You’ll Be Successful
WORK EXPERIENCE
At least 2 years job-related experience preferred Pediatric outpatient experience preferred Experience floating multiple clinic sites and working any varied clinic environments preferred
EDUCATION
Graduate or professional work or advanced degree; or equivalent experience required
LICENSES AND CERTIFICATIONS
License to practice physical therapy in the State of Texas required Basic Life Support for Healthcare Providers as required from the American Heart Associations required upon hire
