Overview
We have an immediate opening for a
Full time Radiation Therapist
at our City of Hope location in Sherman Oaks. New grads are welcome to apply. Salary: $60‑$80.14 per hour. Sign‑on bonus: $10,000. Applicants will be hired into the appropriate title based on credentials and experience.
Scope Under direct supervision, administer radiation therapy treatments to patients. Accuracy in positioning the beam of radiation to correspond with the designated tumor volume and accurately delivering the prescribed dose are paramount. Supports and adheres to the US Oncology Compliance Program, including the Code of Ethics and Business Standards.
Responsibilities
Accurately deliver and record radiation therapy treatments under the direction of a radiation oncologist and chief radiation therapist.
Accurately enter and maintain patient treatment parameters in the electronic medical record.
Participate in clinical instruction of newly hired therapists and students.
Assist in maintaining the patient appointment schedule and submitting correct billing information.
Accurately cut blocks when applicable.
Accurately make custom molds.
Accurately complete simple mu calculations.
Accurately interpret a computerized treatment plan.
Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work environment.
Qualifications
Graduate of an accredited radiation therapy technology program.
ARRT certification required. Must hold a valid state license for radiation therapy.
Radiation Therapist I – requires 0‑3 years experience actively practicing as an RTT.
Radiation Therapist II – requires 3‑5 years experience actively practicing as an RTT.
Senior Radiation Therapist – requires 5+ years experience actively practicing as an RTT.
Physical Demands Employee is regularly required to sit and use hands to finger, handle, or feel. Employee is occasionally required to stand, walk, and reach with hands and arms. Must occasionally lift and/or move up to 30 pounds. Requires vision and hearing corrected to normal ranges.
Work Environment Work is performed in an office environment and requires significant interaction with management, staff, and external auditors and clients.
