Overview Project Kuiper is Amazon’s low Earth orbit satellite broadband network. Its mission is to deliver fast, reliable internet to customers and communities around the world. We have designed the system with the capacity, flexibility, and performance to serve a wide range of customers, from individual households to schools, hospitals, businesses, government agencies, and other organizations operating in locations without reliable connectivity.
Export Control Requirement: Due to applicable export control laws and regulations, candidates must be a U.S. citizen or national, U.S. permanent resident (current Green Card holder), or lawfully admitted into the U.S. as a refugee or granted asylum.
Key Responsibilities
Plan satellite integration workstation layouts to achieve the planned processing rate.
Plan material flow and implement manufacturing processes for satellite integration.
Integrate satellites onto dispensers.
Automated testing of satellites using various EGSE.
Continuously improve satellite integration and test processes.
Interface with facilities personnel to set up and work within a payload processing facility.
Evaluate and improve takt time.
Author and implement work instructions and standard processes.
Resolve anomalies and implement corrective actions.
Operate primarily on second shift, Monday‑Friday; off‑shift and weekend work may be required depending on production/launch schedules.
Willingness to perform extended travel up to 25% annually, domestically or internationally as business needs demand.

Basic Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering, electrical engineering, material science, physics, or equivalent.
Knowledge of engineering practices and patterns for the full software/hardware/networks development life cycle, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, certification, and livesite operations.
Experience with hardware/software integration and real‑time systems.
Preferred Qualifications
Master’s degree in mechanical engineering, electrical engineering, material science, physics, or equivalent.
2+ years of hardware design and validation of components, subsystems, and systems experience.
Knowledge of schematic design and debugging skills.

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several U.S. geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $86,900 per year in our lowest geographic market up to $185,000 per year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job‑related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon provides a total compensation package that includes equity, sign‑on payments, and a full range of medical, financial, and other benefits.
