Controls Engineer
to help us optimize and maintain the advanced control systems that keep our automotive seating production running smoothly.
In this hands‑on role, you’ll be a key player in improving equipment reliability, supporting continuous improvement, and collaborating across teams to deliver high‑quality products in a fast‑paced environment.
What You’ll Do
Troubleshoot and resolve equipment issues, including PLC ladder logic and ControlLogix processors.
Maintain and update PLC programs, documentation, and machine control drawings.
Support and enhance automated systems—HMIs, sensors, I/O devices, servo drives, scanners, and more.
Partner with maintenance teams to improve uptime and reliability.
Perform backups of machine control and robotic programs.
Diagnose and repair hydraulic, pneumatic, and mechanical systems integrated with electrical controls.
Engineer error‑proofing and data collection systems to improve quality and visibility.
Participate in root‑cause analysis and continuous improvement initiatives.
Review and advise on control system designs for new equipment purchases.
What You Bring
Bachelor’s degree in Electrical, Controls, or related Engineering field (or equivalent hands‑on experience).
2–3 years of experience in manufacturing with strong PLC programming skills.
Proficiency in Allen‑Bradley PLCs (required); other platforms are a plus.
Experience with robotics, vision systems, and DC torque tools is highly desirable.
Familiarity with automotive manufacturing and Just‑In‑Time (JIT) systems is a big plus.
Willingness to work 2nd shift hours.
