We are looking for a
Manufacturing Engineer III
to join our Union Grove team that has strong continuous improvement and leadership competencies to drive safety, quality, delivery, and cost improvements. Candidate will need to have the ability to multi-task, manage projects, and work independently in a fast-paced work environment. Job Responsibilities
Candidate will implement new product development design and create manufacturing cells. Drive plant expansion through new product line design, set-up and implementation Assists in determining the operations required for more complex projects in fabrication and assembly of products as well as implementing cost-savings process improvements. Owns the processes - creates capable processes. May be responsible for the completion of assigned engineering projects within budgetary and scheduling guidelines. Troubleshoots and resolves more complex issues, develops the sequence of operations, estimates time requirements for each, and prepares operation sheets. Identifies, recommends and implements improvements and/or modifications in sequence of operations, equipment utilization, and related matters in order to increase efficiency and cost savings. Designs and programs CNC equipment to utilize to full capacity. May be responsible for completion of engineering projects. Designs new line layouts or re-designs plant layout. May provide technical leadership/training and/or coaching to other team members. Other duties as assigned. Basic Qualifications
Technical bachelor's degree or equivalent related experience. 7+ years prior Manufacturing Engineering experience. Experience with developing standard work processes for manual assembly Sense of urgency; being able to proactively recognize and resolve issues. Successful candidate will be self-motivated and driven; able to work within a cross-functional team. Candidate should be comfortable and able to report KPI's to executive management. Ability to perform duties both individually and in a team environment. Able to work in a fast-paced environment, tolerance for ambiguity. Preferred Qualifications
Green Belt in Lean Six Sigma acquired within 3 years. Benefits
