Key Responsibilities
Prepare mechanical equipment specifications, data sheets, purchase requisitions and technical bid evaluations for rotating equipment, pressure vessels, heat exchangers, piping items and other mechanical equipment / materials as required
Familiar with ASME Section VIII coded vessels and/or with Pump and Compressor industry standards
Coordinate with vendors and review technical documentation
Support interdisciplinary teams including Process, Piping, Structural, & Electrical Engineering
Interfaces with other project disciplines and equipment suppliers in equipment sizing, rating and selection
Participates in factory acceptance testing and/or site visits
Qualifications
BSc, MSc or equivalent in Mechanical / Engineering Technology is required
0 - 5+ years of experience
Working knowledge of ASME, API, and other industry standards
Ability to comprehend and interpret technical information applicable to Mechanical Engineering
Excellent oral and written communication skills is required
High level of commitment to safety
Highly motivated and positive attitude
Advanced MS Office skills (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) preferred
Preferred Experience
Experience in EPC projects for oil & gas or petrochemical sectors
Exposure to offshore or modular design environments
NCEES Engineering-in-Training preferred
Familiarity with PV Elite, Compress, or similar software
