This role supports plant operations and the storeroom, focusing on maintenance planning and inventory management. What You’ll Do / Responsibilities
Maintenance Planning Develop and maintain preventive maintenance schedules for all plant equipment. Coordinate with maintenance technicians, production teams, and engineering to plan corrective and predictive maintenance. Create detailed job plans including labor, materials, tools, and safety requirements. Track and report maintenance KPIs (e.g., PM compliance, backlog, equipment downtime). Maintain CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management System) data integrity. Storeroom Management Oversee inventory control of spare parts and maintenance supplies. Ensure accurate stock levels through cycle counts and audits. Manage procurement of parts and supplies in coordination with purchasing. Organize and maintain storeroom layout for efficient access and retrieval. Monitor critical spares and lead times to prevent equipment downtime. Required Software Skills
CMMS Systems: Proficiency in SAP preferred. Inventory Management Software: Experience with SAP preferred. Microsoft Office Suite: Excel (advanced), Outlook, Word, PowerPoint. Data Visualization Tools (preferred): Power BI or Tableau. Document Management Systems: Ability to manage equipment manuals, SOPs, and maintenance records digitally. What is Needed to be Successful in this Role
Required Skills/Abilities: Include the necessary and preferred job requirements of the role. High school diploma or GED required; technical degree or certification preferred. 3+ years of experience in maintenance planning or storeroom/inventory management in a manufacturing or chemical plant environment. Strong understanding of mechanical, electrical, and instrumentation components. Excellent organizational and communication skills. Ability to read technical drawings and equipment manuals. Preferred Skills
Experience with reliability-centered maintenance (RCM) or lean maintenance practices. Familiarity with OSHA and PSM regulations. Knowledge of procurement processes and vendor management. Working Conditions
Primarily office-based with regular visits to plant floor and storeroom. May require occasional lifting of parts or tools (up to 50 lbs).
