Brief Description
As a Carpenter, a typical day might include the following:
Assisting with the buildout and installation of retail fixtures, display cases, counters, wall panels, and other custom carpentry elements
Reading and interpreting blueprints, schematics, and construction plans
Working closely with the project management and design teams to bring brand vision and layout plans to life
Measuring, cutting, and assembling materials using hand tools, power tools, and woodworking equipment
Installing millwork, trim, shelving, and flooring elements in accordance with design specifications
Helping maintain clean, organized, and safe work sites during all phases of the buildout
Traveling to various retail locations as needed to complete projects on-site
Collaborating with contractors and vendors when necessary to complete construction phases on schedule
Other duties as assigned
Requirements
This job might be for you if you demonstrate the following abilities and meet the following qualifications:
1-2 years of carpentry experience in retail, commercial, or high-end residential environments is preferred
Willingness to travel to job sites and work flexible hours as needed
Ability to read construction documents and follow technical specifications
Works well under pressure and meets tight deadlines
Strong understanding of framing, finish carpentry, and cabinetry installation
Familiarity with tools and equipment commonly used in retail buildouts
Reliable, self-motivated, and detail-oriented with a strong work ethic
