DRUM Associates
We are partnered with a leader in the insurance industry seeking a driven and versatile Product Owner to join their Project Management Office (PMO). This individual will play a critical role in bridging the gap between business strategy and technical execution wearing many hats to ensure seamless delivery across business, technical, and vendor teams.
Responsibilities
Drive product strategy and delivery, ensuring alignment with organizational goals and measurable business value.
Create and manage a prioritized product backlog for feature delivery, incorporating value, functionality, security, and usability considerations.
Serve as the primary liaison between business and technical teams to ensure requirements are clear, feasible, and aligned with enterprise architecture standards.
Lead and facilitate Agile ceremonies including sprint planning, refinement, and retrospectives.
Champion customer experience by translating needs into actionable user stories and acceptance criteria.
Partner with cross-functional teams and vendors to oversee the development and enhancement of Genesys IVR solutions, ensuring performance, reliability, and scalability.
Collaborate with senior leaders and C‑suite stakeholders to communicate vision, progress, and challenges effectively.
Proactively identify risks, dependencies, and opportunities for improvement in both processes and technology.
Maintain clear documentation and change management practices to ensure transparency and traceability throughout the product lifecycle.
Be willing to step into various roles as needed—demonstrating flexibility and a strong ownership mindset.
Qualifications
4+ years of experience as a Product Owner, Business Analyst, or in a similar Agile delivery role.
Proven hands‑on experience working with Genesys IVR platforms (development, enhancement, or integration).
Prior experience in or strong understanding of the insurance industry preferred.
Expertise in Agile methodologies (Scrum, SAFe, or similar) and backlog management tools such as Azure DevOps or Jira.
Exceptional communication and presentation skills—capable of engaging with technical teams, business users, and executive leadership.
Demonstrated ability to ask insightful questions, uncover root problems, and translate needs into clear deliverables.
Strong analytical, organizational, and problem‑solving skills with the ability to adapt to change.
Bachelor’s Degree required; advanced certifications (PMI‑ACP, PMP, CBAP, or SAFe) are a plus.
