Overview
Senior Buyer
– Aston Carter, Cleveland, OH. Fully onsite, full‑time. This role coordinates procurement of commodities, from intent to delivery.
Responsibilities
Coordinate all procurement activities from intent to delivery.
Analyze commodity requirements, including specifications and delivery timelines.
Solicit and evaluate proposals; negotiate best price while balancing quality and schedule.
Ensure on‑time delivery at negotiated price and quality standards.
Maintain accurate records of orders, amendments, shipping notices.
Investigate suppliers to confirm they meet requirements.
Confer with suppliers on late deliveries or quality issues.
Coordinate cost‑effective methods for distributing commodities.
Key Qualifications
7‑10 years as a Senior Buyer or equivalent.
Strong experience in purchasing, inventory management, and procurement processes.
Proficiency with ERP systems.
Domestic and global sourcing experience.
Strong problem‑solving and customer service skills.
Excellent organizational skills, detail orientation, and note‑taking.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in supply chain management or related field preferred.
Pay & Benefits Pay range: $36.00‑$45.00 per hour.
