Overview Boeing is seeking an Engineering Manager to lead a dynamic team of engineers on the Air Dominance team within Government Training Engineering. The selected individual will manage a team of skilled systems engineers and aircrew working on development and sustainment activity of flight simulator training devices used by government customers worldwide.
Responsibilities
Lead a team of engineers to develop, test, maintain, and improve simulator training devices.
Develop and execute integrated departmental plans, policies, and procedures.
Provide input on departmental business and technical strategies, goals, and objectives.
Acquire resources, manage supplier technical management, and lead process improvements.
Develop and maintain relationships with customers, stakeholders, and partners.
Provide oversight and approval of technical approaches, products, and processes.
Manage, develop, and motivate employees.
Provide periodic updates to senior management.
Qualifications
2+ years of experience leading engineering teams.
5+ years of technical or engineering experience.
Willing and able to travel up to 10% of the time.
Bachelor's degree or higher in Engineering, Computer Science, Mathematics, Physics, or Mechanical.
Experience with Earned Value Management or equivalent financial management process.
Active Security Clearance (active held within the previous 24 months).
Experience training and/or mentoring in a technical environment.
Preferred Qualifications
Experience with agile methodology in planning, implementing, and delivering system simulation solutions.
Experience in display systems for advanced military aircraft training.
