Transmission Line Engineer 3 -- Grid

This position offers the opportunity to directly apply your knowledge of transmission line engineering, including conductors, hardware, insulation, structures, foundations, and electrical principles. Responsibilities include: Designing transmission lines in the 69kV to 765kV range. Performing structural analysis and design of various structures. Conducting foundation designs. Studying conductor selection, shielding, grounding, and induction. Developing cost estimates, schedules, and procurement specifications. Specifying transmission line components. Modeling transmission lines using PLS-CADD, determining right of way, calculating conductor sags, and preparing plans and profiles. Reviewing vendor submittals. This role offers a hybrid work arrangement: three days in the office and two days remote, with a generous relocation package depending on your location. Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in engineering from an ABET-accredited program. At least three years of related experience in transmission line engineering. Proficiency with PLS-CADD and PLS-POLE. Knowledge of engineering principles, design techniques, and technical drawing/model production. Excellent communication skills and proficiency with MS Office. Valued but not required: FE exam completion and Engineer in Training designation. Proficiency with additional software tools like AutoCAD, ArcGIS, etc. Experience with engineering calculations documentation and familiarity with relevant standards (NESC, IEC, IEEE, etc.).
