Overview
The Assembly Lead will assist the Warehouse Manager to plan, organize and monitor the process of product assembly ensuring finished product is assembled to specifications. The Assembly Lead actively works with the assembly team to complete daily tasks. Responsibilities
Plan and coordinate daily work assignments required to fulfill production orders. Pull product from inventory according to purchase order documents and assemble to specifications. Monitor quality controls to ensure accuracy of finished product. Assign re-work or re-training as needed. Uses ERP system to create reports and update status. Ensure the assembly area is neat, organized and equipment is operational. Train employees and ensure distribution center staff follow policies and guidelines. Report employee progress, discipline issues, safety concerns or injuries to management. Continue to grow lean knowledge and use the tools to identify and assist with continuous improvement. Update procedures and processes. Approve time off and timecard changes for assembly team. Skills & Qualifications
Concise and professional communication when dealing with colleagues and all business partners. Able to solve problems and apply new ideas. Effectively plans, prioritizes, and delegates tasks to ensure all deadlines are met on time. Must be able to read, write and speak English. Demonstrates a positive attitude, actively listens to colleagues, and works collaboratively in teams to achieve goals, solve problems, and implement continuous improvements. Efficient with Microsoft Excel and ERP systems. Physical Demands
Ability to lift, push or pull up to 40 pounds. Stand and walk for long periods at a time. Occasionally required to climb, balance, stoop, kneel or crouch. Vision ability including close, distance, peripheral, and depth perception. Education & Experience
Minimum of two years of experience in shipping/receiving is a must. Minimum one year of experience in a leadership role. High School Diploma or equivalent. Forklift and pallet jack experience preferred. Valid Driver’s License preferred. About Wiha & Willi Hahn Corporation
