Spend your days travelling (via a provided company vehicle) to hospitals and laboratories throughout the Kansas City region providing critical assistance and care for customers who are working to advance the future of healthcare. As a Field Service Engineer for our Global Commercial Operations Group, you’ll perform repairs, upgrades, and preventative maintenance on Bio-Rad\'s Clinical Diagnostics and Life Science instruments, ensuring the quality performance of our equipment for the people who rely on it. You’ll also respond to emergencies and occasionally assist colleagues in surrounding states on short notice, applying your thorough knowledge of our products to advocate for customers and deliver the highest levels of service and support. Travel of up to 75% will be expected. Responsibilities

Perform repairs, upgrades, and preventative maintenance on Bio-Rad’s instruments, ensuring the quality performance for customers advancing healthcare research and treatments. Support and maintain Bio-Rad instruments that customers rely on to make scientific breakthroughs. Build and sustain strong relationships to anticipate and advocate for customers\' needs. Adhere to FDA and GMP regulations and requirements with detailed record keeping and service documentation to protect Bio-Rad’s integrity and reputation. What You Bring

Education/Work Experience: At least 3 years of transferable field service experience servicing electro-mechanical/electronic/optical/robotics equipment and an A.S. or B.S. in Electronics, Biomedical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or related field (or military equivalent). Ability to read, understand and follow medium to highly complex work instructions. Strong electro-mechanical troubleshooting skills. Strong computer skills and fundamental knowledge of computer networking. Strong customer relation and communication skills, both written and oral. Flexibility and enthusiasm for daily travel. Preferred Skills

Hands on experience with Diagnostic or Life Science instruments. Total Rewards and Benefits
