Overview
The Space Division at Leidos has an opening for a Test Engineer to work in our Huntsville, AL facility. This is an exciting opportunity to use your experience to develop and execute tests for verification and validation of flight hardware performance. Responsibilities
Gather requirements, define test parameters, design test stands, specify hardware and instrumentation, and set up and operate test stands. Perform test planning, test execution, scheduling, and resource management. Work with ground support equipment and flight hardware to perform tests and gather data for acceptance testing. Create test plans and procedures and support engineering review boards. Work in an office and cleanroom environment. Basic Qualifications
Requires Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering. Minimum of 4 years of related experience in hardware testing, data gathering, and instrumentation. Experience in HW/SW interfaces and data gathering. Experience integrating ground support hardware into test environments to display and record test data. Experience with data gathering using multiple sensors, typically recording voltage and/or current. Experience with cabling, instrumentation, basic electrical knowledge of DC circuits, and troubleshooting skills. Experience with writing and executing detailed step-by-step instructions. Preferred Qualifications
Experience working on NASA flight hardware is desired. Experience working in an AS9100 quality system is desired. Ability to work well with cross-functional teams, design engineers, analysts, manufacturing, project management and customer representatives. Experience working in a cleanroom environment. Excellent verbal/written communication skills and ability to work with multiple interfaces. Understanding and basic troubleshooting skills of test instrumentation.
