Sales Engineer

to prospect and engage customers in an exclusive, protected sales territory.

We seek a highly motivated person with proven presentation skills and effective sales methods. As a Sales Engineer, you will develop new business within your territory and retain and grow existing accounts. Building excellent client relationships and driving sales results are key. Use your sales expertise to help our customers achieve their business goals with our product solutions. Autonomy, drive, and a winning mindset are essential. You will take ownership of the entire sales cycle.

Key Responsibilities include:

Prospect, develop, and close new business with both new and existing customers.

Meet or exceed annual sales targets within your assigned territory and accounts.

Travel regularly to perform customer consultations, determine needs, provide solutions, and prepare estimates and proposals.

Manage turnkey projects, demonstrations, and related customer projects to meet deadlines and budgets.

Maintain in-depth knowledge of the machine tool industry and our product lines.

Utilize Salesforce.com (CRM) for all prospecting and customer activities.

Qualifications

Skills and Qualifications:

BS/BA degree in Engineering, Business, or equivalent work experience.

Previous outside sales experience with manufactured equipment is preferred.

Strong communication and presentation skills.

Innovative problem-solving skills and ability to thrive in a results-driven environment.

Effective closing skills.

Mechanical/technical aptitude is preferred.

Proficiency in Microsoft Office and CRM software.

Valid driver’s license, reliable vehicle, and current auto insurance are required.

Compensation and Benefits:

Base salary ranges from $54,000 to $78,000, with commissions, business allowance, and semi-annual bonuses. Benefits include medical, dental, vision, disability, life insurance, 401K with match, and more. Time off includes vacation, personal sick days, and holidays. Additional perks include fuel reimbursement, a new car discount, and an Employee Assistance Program.
