Cullerton Group has a new opportunity for a Dev/Research Engineer 2 in Peoria, IL. The work will be done onsite. This is a long-term contract. It can lead to permanent employment with our customer. Compensation is $30/hr W2 + full benefits, vision, dental, health insurance, 401K and holiday pay.
Our customer is the largest manufacturer of construction equipment in the world.
Job Description The main function of a research engineer is to research and investigate the design, functionality and maintenance of mechanical products, equipment, systems and processes. A typical research engineer has the ability to make engineering drawings and read and interpret blueprints.
Typical task breakdown:
Plan, execute, and document machine level testing.
Interaction with team:
Daily interaction with engineers, mechanics, operators, instrumentation technicians, supply chain, and logistics.
Team Structure:
3 team leaders, several senior engineers, and several junior engineers.
Work environment:
20% office and 80% on your feet either in the shop or local field.
Education & Experience Required:
B.S. in Engineering (no associate’s or master’s) ~2 years’ experience (internships accepted) Relevant backgrounds may include mechanic, construction, or landscaping
