Overview MTSI is seeking a

Systems Integration Engineer

with expertise in the

Universal Command and Control Interface (UCI)

and

autonomy integration

to support next-generation air systems. This role focuses on enabling seamless communication between mission systems and autonomous capabilities through UCI-compliant architecture and modern DevSecOps practices. The ideal candidate has a strong background in software integration, autonomy-enabling frameworks, and secure development pipelines within the DoD environment.

Responsibilities

Support UCI-based integration of autonomy and mission systems across platforms.

Collaborate with government stakeholders and contractor teams to define interface requirements and data exchange standards.

Contribute to development of interface control documents, architecture views, and integration specifications.

Work with DevSecOps teams to enable secure and rapid deployment of mission software.

Participate in technical reviews, integration events, and working groups to guide architecture alignment.

Ensure compliance with DoD open architecture and digital engineering initiatives.

Qualifications Required

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Systems Engineering, or a related field.

8+ years of experience in software integration, mission systems, or DevSecOps in a defense environment.

Knowledge of UCI architecture, message standards, and autonomy-enabling interfaces.

Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines, containerization, and secure software development practices.

Must possess an active Top Secret clearance with eligibility for SCI.

Desired

Experience supporting autonomy development programs or open architecture initiatives.

Familiarity with MBSE tools (e.g., Cameo), digital thread concepts, and JADC2-related efforts.

Certifications in DevSecOps, cybersecurity, or cloud-native systems.

Prior experience with AFLCMC, OSD, or autonomy program offices.
