The Pulmonary & Critical Care Medicine Division of NYC Health + Hospitals/Harlem is a major teaching affiliate of Columbia University Vagelos College of Physicians and Surgeons in NYC, seeks an academically oriented, clinically adept Pulmonary & Critical Care Physician to join its staff full time. NYC Health + Hospitals/Harlem supports a very robust IM residency training program and serves as a major clinical site for Columbia University Vagelos College of Physicians and Surgeons. PCCM includes all aspects of pulmonary medicine, critical care, and out-patient pulmonary. Responsibilities

Provide clinically oriented pulmonary and critical care services as part of a full-time PCCM team. Engage in teaching and collaboration with the affiliated Columbia University Vagelos College of Physicians and Surgeons. Contribute to patient care across inpatient and outpatient settings as a hospital-based intensivist within a Level 1 Trauma Center. Qualifications

Board certified/eligible in Pulmonary and Critical Care Medicine Wages and Benefits

Annual Base Salary: $280,000* (board eligible); $290,000* (board certified) based on 40-hour work week. Additional compensation available for extra call or sessional/per diem hours. The annual total value of the compensation package is estimated at $403,520** (board eligible) and $414,520** (board certified), including baseline salary, 401(k) contribution, sessional/per diem hours, and other factors as described below: Estimated annual compensation for 10 additional sessional/per diem hours worked per week is $55,520. Projected bonus of up to $40,000 (based on previous year’s average), contingent upon meeting quality and productivity targets. 401(k) Company Contribution (subject to IRS limits): immediate 3% company contribution; after one year, additional 7% company contribution. No employee match required. Annual Continuing Medical Education (CME) reimbursement. Generous annual Paid Time Off (PTO): vacation, sick, holiday, and CME days. Medical, Prescription, and Dental Coverage: top-tier plans with employee contributions below market rates. Life Insurance and AD&D: equal to 2x salary (up to $300,000) at no cost; additional voluntary coverage available. Loan forgiveness: potential eligibility through state or federal programs. Medical Malpractice Coverage (occurrence-based): provided at no cost to the employee. Healthcare and Dependent Care FSAs; pre-tax contributions for commuting expenses.
