Brenner Children's Hospital, now part of Levine Children's, houses a leading pediatric anesthesia and pain management program in North Carolina. You will have opportunities to work with every medical specialty within Brenner and be involved in a wide range of pediatric procedures and disease management—from routine to complex cardiac cases. What You'll Do
As a valued member of our healthcare team, the CRNA will play a key role in team-focused patient care, providing anesthesia using safe and quality techniques during pediatric procedures. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to: Potential for and encouragement to precept Student Nurse Anesthetists; mentoring and assessing medical students. Use clinical decision-making to determine appropriate patient care plans to ensure peri-operative and anesthesia care, considering co-morbidities and age/developmental guidelines. Collaborate with the medical team for effective team-based care; uphold patient safety, drive quality improvement, and promote infection prevention. Document and maintain patient records in compliance with hospital standards, ensuring confidentiality. Maintain scheduling flexibility, readiness, and punctuality to deliver timely patient care. Exhibit professionalism through teamwork and ongoing professional development. Contribute to cost containment by conserving resources. Perform other related duties as assigned. The clinician functions under the regulatory mandate of the applicable licensing board with departmental credentialing from the institution. CRNA Requirements
Graduation from an Accredited Nurse Anesthesia Program, Master\'s Degree or higher required. Registered Nurse licensure from the North Carolina Board of Nursing + current certification as a Nurse Anesthetist (NBCRNA) or recertified to practice. Current CPR Certification - ACLS, BLS, PALS. Ability to demonstrate clinical competency within the scope of privileges. Strong verbal and written communication skills to collaborate with diverse clinical teams. Where You\'ll Live
