As a CT Technologist (CT Tech) you will perform CT exams in accordance with standards and policies of the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists and Radiology Department. You will demonstrate knowledge of anatomy, disease processes, patient care, positioning, radiation protection, quality assurance, specialized techniques, and adherence to Corporate Radiation Right policies. Responsibilities
Produce scans of optimal diagnostic quality for patients from neonatal to geriatric age groups. Follow established scanning and viewing protocols; operate CT scanners and related equipment efficiently. Complete quality scans in a timely manner; prioritize workflow to meet STAT and urgent demands while maintaining client service standards. Demonstrate proficiency in scanning trauma, acute, and challenging patients; adjust positioning and scanning factors as needed. Correlate imaging with disease processes to identify relevant anatomy; communicate with radiologists during invasive procedures as required. Use the power injector competently and verbalize its limits; document all required information in appropriate forms and systems (logs, workstation, Meditech). Scan patients of all ages, tailoring exams to age/size/needs; ensure CT and department equipment functions properly. Qualifications
One year of experience as a Radiology Technologist in an acute care setting; one year of CT experience preferred. Graduate from an accredited Radiologic Technology program; completed CT and cross-sectional anatomy coursework. Current Medical Radiologic Technologist (MRT) certification with Texas Medical Board (TMB). Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification per St. David’s Healthcare policy. ARRT (R) registration in Radiology and ARRT (CT) certification within 6 months of CT assignment.
